Grade Level: NX.06 - NX.08

JOB LOCATION: Leer South Mining Complex, Philippi, WV

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Perform hourly payroll clerk duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Responsible for set-up and maintenance of hourly payroll processing using Workforce
• Maintain hourly payroll files and records
• Process all changes in hourly employee payroll status
• Upkeep of hourly employee paid days off balances.
• Answer basic hourly employee questions on payroll issues
• Ensure compliance with all payroll procedures and policies, including SOX Narratives and Controls

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Payroll experience required
• Prior experience working with payroll software, preferably Workforce
• Competence in computer related skills including Excel, Word, and data entry
• Ability to conduct business with strict confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computation skills
• Ability to work occasional overtime
• Ability to work without direct supervision and to coordinate work with other departments
• Associate's degree in Business Administration preferred
