Leer South is looking for a Manager Purchasing to join our successful team in Philippi, West Virginia.

Job Location: Sentinel/Leer South Mining Complex (Philippi, WV)

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Oversee the procurement of goods and services to ensure that the processes are performed in an accurate and ethical manner. Procedures are performed per Company policy and SOX compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Negotiate purchase orders, contracts, service/term agreements, and consignment partnerships
• Expedite orders, monitor and perform price changes, return goods for credit
• Prepare and implement corporate purchasing guidelines and procedures
• Maintain backorder reports with suppliers to ensure inventory levels at supplier locations meet or exceed the orders placed
• Coordinate with managers and vendors for the delivery of parts and supplies
• Oversight of all capital project purchases and equipment purchases at location
• Travel with managers on warranty and equipment issues
• Work with the accounts payable department to expedite the timely processing and payment of invoices
• Coordinate with Warehouse Manager to ensure adequate levels of onsite supply and materials inventory
• Manage purchasing department personnel including directing the work of subordinates

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• S. in Business or relevant degree or equivalent experience
• 3 years of experience in materials procurement and/or warehousing
• Proficient use of Ellipse materials management software as well as Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Experience in mining industry preferred
