Maintenance Supervisor

Grade: EX.09

JOB LOCATION: Sentinel/ Leer South Mining Complex Philippi, WV

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient management of the maintenance function by maximizing the effective utilization of the resources provided.
• Supervises and provides direction to hourly employees.
• Set-up of section or equipment for on-coming production shift.
• Plans, organizes, schedules and coordinates with Shift Coordinator and/or Maintenance Superintendent on all maintenance activities.
• Implements and maintains compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Job task training of personnel as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of five (5) years underground mining experience
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills (written and oral)
• Excellent safety and attendance record
• MSHA electrical certification or ability to obtain
• West Virginia Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain
• Willingness to work weekends when necessary
• Demonstrated leadership and multi-tasking skills.
