JOB LOCATION:      Leer South Mining Complex, Philippi, WV

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for mine site predictive and preventive maintenance analysis, providing recommendations to maintenance planners and superintendents to improve overall maintenance functions and equipment availability.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Performs predictive and preventive data collections and inspections procedures (PdM services) to ensure equipment operating efficiency.
• Analyzes the data collected using appropriate software to determine component condition and expected life.
• Develops and maintains a preventive analysis system that functions on a regular and timely basis.
• Performs certification for both new and reconditioned equipment using predictive maintenance technology.
• Makes recommendations to remediate pending equipment or component failures; and, improve overall equipment reliability.
• Maintains an effective reporting system to document test results, component conditions, and analysis history.
• Effectively communicates the results of the tests and analysis to appropriate personnel.
• Provides technical expertise during the installation of new components.
• Generate repair work orders for components that require attention and direct the work force during the needed repairs to insure work is completed to the proper standards.
• Develop a budget forecast based on component condition and a replacement date before component failure.
• Train other personnel as needed to insure future success of program.
• Travel between company facilities and to vendor facilities to perform acceptance testing procedures on new and/or rebuilt components.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mining or Electrical Engineering. Experience maybe substituted on a year for year basis for the educational preference.
• 7 years of experience in maintenance and/or electrical fields
• Proficiency in computer software applications: Microsoft, CAD, Mincom-Ellipse, and software applications pertinent to PdM technologies
• MSHA electrical cards (low, medium, and high voltage) or ability to obtain
• Current Mine Foreman certification
