Leer South is looking for a C/M Production Coordinator to join our successful team in Philippi, West Virginia.

Job Title: C/M Production Coordinator

Grade: EX. 11

Job Location: Sentinel/Leer South Mining Complex (Philippi, WV)

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Coordinates the production activities with other departments and shifts to achieve optimum safety, cost, and productivity goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Plans, directs, and monitors all production activities across all shifts
• Recommends and implements improvements in safety procedures, equipment, and production methods
• Conducts meetings and organizes training to improve the operation's performance
• Sets goals, priorities, and standards through communication and cooperation with all departments
• Approves production material and supply orders up to an authorized approval level.
• Coordinates production and schedules with the maintenance department and shift coordinators to minimize downtime
• Implements all safety policies and procedures related to an injury free work environment
• Develops, implements, and monitors cost reduction plans and productivity improvements

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Demonstrated successful underground coal mining supervisory experience
• 5 years of mining experience with a diverse background in Continuous Mining operations, and general mine work
• Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain the certification
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable mining methods
• Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, planning and organizational skills.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Basic PLC knowledge
