JOB LOCATION: Leer South Mining Complex, Philippi, WV

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

 Procurement of supplies and services for mine site location.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Negotiate and place individual purchase orders with suppliers of materials and services to best Company advantage considering quality, value analysis, and vendor ability to meet specifications, required delivery, and price.
• Negotiate blanket orders and/or contracts as per company guidelines to obtain quantity discounts, price protection, and guarantee supply.
• Contact suppliers and follow vendor performance to expedite urgently needed items as required.
• Insure proper backup for service invoices and obtain approval signatures from managers
• Obtain appropriate approval for purchases

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• B.S. in Business Administration or relevant degree, or equivalent experience
• 1 year of experience purchasing supplies and materials associated with coal mining
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient use of automated materials management software (Ellipse)
• Ability to perform the job with minimal supervision.
